Best in class service and amenities

Top notch service and luxury amenities
Love this location. Stay for business a couple times a year and always enjoy this beautiful hotel. Great walkable area near lots of shops and my office. Great food, drinks, and service every visit. One of my all time favorite places to stay

Not a great experience

I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel if you are expecting a top notch Ritz Carlton experience. Everything was "just fine" but nothing was outstanding. We visited the lobby bar and the bartender was not attentive despite the bar having only 5 people. Another time I walked down and asked for a cup of ice (not realizing the were ice machines on every other floor). Same guy says, "well there are ice machines on every other floor" and started to walk away rather than offer to get me the cup of ice I asked for in the first place. I had to say, "hey well can you get me that cup of ice anyway". In regards to the overall property and room, the cleanliness and comfort were subpar. The elevator had wrapped peppermint candies on the floor and the doors were smudged, our room bed was the most uncomfortable hotel bed I've been in in a very long time. We travel frequently and this one was the worst. The bathroom was really not in good shape. The wallpaper in the commode area had a giant stain, the sink had a crack. As a matter of fact, we came back from dinner to find our bathroom sink full of water???!! and our bathroom floor wet. The crack in the sink had apparently finally given way and water was all over the floor. Still unsure as to how the water got in the sink in the first place, something clearly backed up since the stagnant water was full of black particles. The cleaning folks left their cleaning solution in our bathroom. All of these things individually don't seem so bad, but when you stay at this particular brand your expectations are for a high level of service. We were here for a difficult family situation and were really hoping for the relaxation and comfort a Ritz usually provides to make our difficult time here easier, and instead dealt with disappointment and annoyances.

Disappointed by Lack of Follow-Up & Security Concerns – Not Ritz-Carlton Standards

As an Ambassador Elite member, I expect a certain level of service from The Ritz-Carlton, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing. My hair dryer was stolen by staff, and despite calling twice for assistance, I received no follow-up. After getting no resolution, I escalated through my concierge, which finally prompted a response—only to yield the same result without as much as an apology.
Beyond the frustrating lack of follow-through, the fact that a personal item was taken raises serious security concerns. This was unacceptable for a brand that prides itself on exceptional service and guest care. I hope management takes these issues seriously and implements better communication and security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future, although a recent review had the same experience with a stolen item.

Make the Ritz-Carlton a stop on your Holiday List

If you are not quite into the holiday spirit, plan a stop at the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis. The holiday decorations are stunning and over the top. After our business meeting we enjoyed a sumptuous dinner at the Casa Don Alfonso, drinks and a bit of fun time in the cigar club. Staff and management were attentive and provided great service. The welcoming atmosphere was so prevalent the moment I walked through the front door until I left at the end of the evening. Ritz-Carlton St. Louis is definitely doing something right this holiday season!

Lives up to their reputation

I booked a room at the Ritz Carlton for my wife and I for our 25th anniversary. This was a wonderful hotel and it was the exact experience I expected from the Ritz Carlton. We will definitely not wait 25 years to come back. What an amazing stay. My wife had some spa treatments, said with some of the best she had ever had.
