BLACK BOOTS

Hello, our son forgot his boots on Thursday the 18th, was with the scouts and says he enjoyed it with you, both for hospitality and environments. How can we regain possession if possible? Thanks - Aldo, dad of Elia

Woeful. Lacking too many of the basics one expects in a hostel and utterly unsuitable for working despite the name

I chose this place *specifically* as it had the term coworking in its title. I needed to get some work done. However, it's doesn't have anywhere suitable for working! Ie the tables and chairs aren't suitable, lighting isn't suitable, it's too noisy and there aren't sufficient sockets.
The "kitchen" is non-existent. There's a fridge and that's it. No kettle, no microwave, no stove or oven.
The security lockers aren't by the beds, they're in the area where you can eat whatever food you brought in because you can't cook it.
There's no security. Anyone can just walk in and walk through the dorm areas.
The very worst point from a health and safety point of view is that you're expected to access the upper bunks using bar stools!! This is a major insurance issue waiting to happen. Utterly inadequate and actually illegal.
There are only 3 showers and are shared by both genders. The only good point is that one of them is extremely spacious and there's plenty of shampoo and shower gel.
The hostel is very basic with a very bored and disinterested person on reception and is much too expensive for what you get and for what other more established hostels in Valencia offer for less money.
I would never choose this hostel again unless quite desperate and just needed somewhere to sleep.

For my first hostel experience, I would definitely do it again!

Reading the reviews, I was expecting the hostel of horrors, but instead I am pleased to say that I had a great time and will return if I ever stay in Valencia again. First of all, it is in a convenient position to go everywhere, even on foot, for those who are a walker like me, but it is also close to bus, metro and tram stops. The place is clean. Definitely, very easy going, not for people who have a lot of demands and don't adapt easily, because it has no services. It didn't interest me much, because I only needed the bed space. For those who have only and exclusively the same purpose, it's more than fine. For those with more demands, there are certainly some critical issues. The entrance door, but also the doors of the rooms, should be opened with an app, to guarantee safety and privacy for guests, but I deduce that it didn't work, so they were always open. At night, however, there is always someone on surveillance. Always. So you are totally safe, and then Valencia in itself is a quiet and safe city. No unwanted person will ever enter. I was only pleased that the app didn't work, since I hate these technological things, and everything was simpler that way. There are very few places to leave your suitcases and you need to bring your own padlock. There are also smaller lockers to keep your personal belongings safe, always with their own padlock. Bathrooms are few. In my tired one, it was present in the room but I don't think it was like this in all of them, so there are others outside the rooms but with doors that don't lock. Hot water showers are available, and I never found a queue to take one. I assure you that the place is absolutely clean, but having been set up as a low-cost structure, in the bathrooms, around the pipes and sanitary fixtures, there are spaces and holes, so unfortunately at night you may find some cockroaches popping out. In the structure you can share a fridge and there is a kitchenette with a microwave oven. There is a small outdoor area for smokers. It's a very quiet place, everyone is calm and minding their own business, then obviously the guests are a trio of eight, in the sense that education is not a skill for everyone but the structure has nothing to do with it, in this case . I have NEVER had any problems and the only thing that bothered me about this experience was the cockroach in the bathroom the first night, then I never wanted to go there at night again. In bunk beds, there is no ladder to get to the top, but an unstable stool or chair to climb up. In each sleeping position there is a power socket and a light. It is a place for those who don't have many demands, and for those who appreciate even just the bare minimum. I had a great time, and I will return if I stay in Valencia again. For me it deserves 4 stars out of 5. It deserves them all.
