Check-in disastrous. 1:30 to get the rooms. Very unpleasant staff, contemptuous and not acknowledging their mistakes. Speaks neither English nor French, only Spanish. We should have read the reviews about the welcome.

Poor reception

No staff at reception at night. Electronic reservation system with loopholes, possibility of not having access to the room at night.
The manager of the hotel eventually moved but was particularly obnoxious.

Cher client, je vous informe de la même manière que le commentaire sur une autre plateforme. Le site internet indique que nous n'avons pas de réception 24h/24. Lorsque vous effectuez la réservation, vous recevez un e-mail avec la confirmation de réservation et contient également des informations sur l'horaire de réception, les conditions et instructions d'annulation et le lien pour obtenir le code d'accès. Lorsqu'il est arrivé à l'auberge, il nous a appelé pour demander les codes et les étapes à suivre lui ont été expliquées. Il nous indique qu'il ne dispose d'aucune confirmation de réservation avec le lien. Le responsable est venu à l’auberge pour l’aider. Le reçu électronique daté du 10/1/2024 lui a été montré depuis l'ordinateur. Le lendemain, ils sont descendus dans la salle à manger et se sont assis pour prendre le petit-déjeuner. Il nous a demandé si le petit-déjeuner était inclus et nous l'avons informé que sa réservation concernait uniquement l'hébergement. Je vous recommande de lire attentivement les instructions et les services que j'ai contractés pour vos prochaines réservations.

lamentable

Check-in malfunctioning. No reception, arrival at 18:00, access to the 3 bedrooms 1h30 later.
Speak only Spanish. The link to register was not sent. The person in charge is abhorrent. No excuses for this malfunction, she even allows herself open mockery.
The online booking writes breakfast included but in the morning it is no longer. Careful, establishment to avoid.

Lack of communication

Very bad communication. You are sent a message about the duplicity of a Reservation. Due to a problem with the Booking user I have doubled several on this trip. I don't get an answer and override it to avoid trouble. I don't want to exonerate my guilt, but it would have been a detail if you warned me before you placed someone else's room and charged me for the night. After several attempts to reach them on his mobile, he called the landline and I can finally get in touch. I don't have a room. Enjoy double payment of ka room. Of course, it will never occur to me to try to stay here. THANK YOU for leaving me on the street.

Estimado cliente, para nosotros no es extraño recibir reservas para el mismo día al mismo nombre. Usted reservó por varias plataformas y eso le llevó al error. Una de las cancelaciones la recibimos el día 16 de Julio. Otra cancelación la efectuó dos días antes de la fecha de llegada. El cobro que se le cargó fue de esta última, ya que estaba fuera del plazo de cancelación gratuita. Nos llamó para preguntar si teníamos su reserva duplicada y le informamos de esto mismo. Nosotros no le dejamos en la calle.

Rude "service" and room mix up

This was my 6th and last stay at this hotel. I've recommended it to friends in the past and would never again.
First of all, they do a good job of letting the customer know they do not have a 24 hour desk. But in reality they hardly have anyone available in the hotel. During our 2 day stay I only saw someone twice, on our second day in the afternoon and in the morning of our departure.
The challenge with this stay was a room mix up. Normally I book the superior double rooms which have a nice view and spa tub. I needed 2 rooms and when I originally booked only one was available. So I booked one superior double room and anther standard room. However I kept checking to see if a superior room opened up and two weeks prior to the trip I was happy to see that one had so I cancelled the standard room and booked a separate reservation for the superior double room so we'd have two superior double rooms.
We arrived at the hotel and no one was at reception but we easily entered using the provided codes. When we got to the rooms we discovered only one was a superior and the other was a standard. I quickly went downstairs and no one was available. I called the number provided on the front door for service but no one answered. I called again and explained to the person that there had been a mix up and we had reservations for 2 superior double rooms. She immediately replied that I had cancelled the superior room and reserved a standard. I had hard copies of my reservations and also checked online at Booking.com. Both showed that I had 2 superior rooms reserved. I also contacted Booking.com and they confirmed this. I tried to explain this to the hotel representative on the phone but they insisted that I was wrong and they did not have any remaining superior double rooms (it is a small hotel). There was no one at reception the rest of the day to show my documentation. The next afternoon someone was at the reception desk. I showed her the hard copies along with my phone and Booking.com. She continued to insist that I was wrong even though I had the documentation. I said that I would never be returning and her response was "good".
I understand the room was not available and there was no way for me to have the superior room. However the hotel should have at least acknowledged their mistake instead of pointing the blame at the customer. In their response to my review on Booking.com they acknowledged their error. That would have made a huge difference when I was there.
If you want rude to non existent service this is a good choice. Otherwise I'd recommend the Parador for excellent service or the Apartments Ducay for clean, nice and good value accomodations.

Dear Cathy, We are sorry for the confusion with your reservation. After receiving several modifications and cancellations, other new reservations, this led us to a mistake. That is why you have been able to make two comments, because you made two different reservations. We are sorry for not having fulfilled your wish for superior rooms. Regarding reception service, we changed the check-in system 3 years ago. He already knew this from last year on his third time with us. We are sorry that this time we have fallen short of previous years, since you have always rated us positively and out of 10, like your last time on September 26, 2023. We understand your disappointment and you have rated us lower than other times but the location , the services, the cleanliness,... it is the same as always, otherwise I would not have repeated. I think it has not been objective.
