Centrally located and convenient but no place for hanging anything

The room is ok but a bit small, with no place for hanging any clothes and a mini kitchenette which is not really needed in a gastronomic city. There is not even a single hook or hanger. The owners also have a tapas and pinchos bar in front of the hostel, so it is not clear why the mini kitchenette is there. Fortunately we had a room on the backyard side, as the Calle San Lorenzo is one of the most popular places for pinchos bars.

My feeling: Not a pleasant welcome. You have to figure it out. More profitable is the café that belongs to the same owner...

Very quick welcome. You have to understand the information and do it quickly. Price on Booking €108 on arrival, €120? And settle practically on the street. It's that or you stay on the street. Not speaking Spanish and not English, the person tells me that I have to pay the booking commission. This is the first time since I made reservations with Booking. I don't have a good memory of this hotel.

Small(room, elevator, PRICE) but great!

Two star hotels might cost more than 120€ at this time of the year. But this one star hotel (NOT a B&B) has all you nead for less than half the price. My room was small, but very clean and very new. It had a large comfortable bed, a small kitchenette with a fridge, 9! plug sockets for all your equipment (though 6 of them in a silly position).
I travelled alone, but it would be ok for two younger people as well. The bar (PANCHO) acroos the road, owned by rhe same people is ine of the best in Burgos.

Marie Solome

Maria Solome is contemporary, private and recently renovated lodging. Room Windows open onto San Lorenzo, a narrow medieval street, giving you a feel for the life of the old city. Location is very convenient to cathedral and town square and other sites of interest. Maria's is a perfect lodging for those seeking respite while on the Camino. Maria is a great hostess and her son's tapas restaurant is just across the street and the tapas are delicious! This is more of a hostel then a hotel, but so very clean and comfortable.

TRATO PÉSIMO por parte de la JEFA. Por error humano, reservamos dos habitaciones dobles en lugar de una. Al darnos cuenta al llegar allí, lo intentamos hablar con la dueña, la cual nos habló y nos trató de muy malas formas dando voces tanto a nosotras como a la empleada que estaba presente. No se molestó en buscar ninguna solución y nos hizo pagar ambas habitaciones, tras lo cual llamamos a Booking y nos dijeron que claramente era un error humano y que iban a solicitarle que nos devolviera el coste de la habitación 'extra' y que ella no tendría que preocuparse por nada porque no le supondría ningún coste. A pesar de las facilidades de Booking, la dueña rechazó la propuesta, prefieriendo claramente el dinero fácil (60€), antes que mantener clientes.
Además, ya de primeras, no te informan que no se puede acceder con el coche hasta allí; para hacer el check-in, hay que ir al restaurante de enfrente porque los mismos empleados están para ambas instalaciones, es un caos; el ascensor es minúsculo (solo entra una persona); las paredes están todas marcadas y sucias; las habitaciones son enanas con poco margen de movilidad y con dos camas individuales estrechas que tienes que tener cuidado al darte la vuelta de no caerte al suelo; la placa de la vitrocerámica no funciona, tras lo cual entendimos por qué no hay menaje para cocinar; el lavabo del baño es tamaño Minion, te intentas lavar la cara y riegas todo el suelo;...
Un robo para lo que es.
Tenemos claro que NO VOLVEREMOS.
