Excellent hotel, highly recommend

This is our go to hotel in Wellington when we are working around the Hutt Valley. We have stayed here quite a few times now and have always had a great experience.
The rooms are immaculate, spacious, modern and very comfortable.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.

How a Single Negative Experience on Check-in can Drive Away Clinets

As a long time member of Accor I thought I’d use Sebel Lower Hutt to stay the week for work instead of the hotel in the city Id been using for the past 6 years and being a Titaniam (highest level membership). This was due to Sebel being closer to
my work. After a very early morning flight, 4am start, I collected car and around midday thought Id see if my room was ready. The desk attendant said it was ready, but check in it 3pm.
I asked if I was able to check in now and they said there is a $20 per hour extra charge to check in early. I confirmed that although my room was ready, they would not let me had it until 3 pm. This was confirmed unless I paid an extra $20 per hour, despite the hotel being quiet. So basically I roamed around filling in time for three hours before I could check in; and needless to say, this left a very sour taste and has caused me to rethink my monthly trips of 5-6 nights at the Sebel. They may respond, advising this is policy, but this policy and interaction with front desk staff may just lost them around 60 nights a year.

I stayed 2 night, the location was great. Parking was handy. Shower was perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful. Appreciated the coffee machine, fridge at breakfast time. Close to shops.

Excellent hotel

I have stayed here 4 or 5 times now and have enjoyed each stay. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable and always clean.
Staff are very friendly and professional and do their very best to accommodate your needs.
I have been upgraded on occasion to a beautiful one bedroom apartment but I have been happy with all the rooms I have stayed in.
I’m not overly keen on the breakfast but this doesn’t stop me staying here.
