We enjoyed a pleasant and comfortable experience at Antico Panada. It had plenty of Venetian charm - antique style furnature, Murano glass light fixtures, and prints from local street artists. One thing to keep in mind is that there is an oceany smell in the whole building. Not entirely unpleasant (we would stay again!) and understandable considering Venice is an island, but if you are sensitive to scents, this may not be the place for you.

Old veey old nothing including comforters seem to have been changed for too many years. Old italian electrical outlets, terrible odor in lobby area. Free breakfast no fruits or eggs and alwaya the same

On the 2nd night of our stay, a member of staff used his master key to just walk into our room, without knocking, uninvited, un-announced.
We were in bed at the time .
Then he just walked right back out.
I reported this incident to reception who didn't take it seriously. In fact they found it amusing.
I complained via Hotel.com who said the hotel accepted this incident happened but it was a mistake.
Hotel.com then said there was nothing they could do because I had booked the room as a guest and not by creating an account, which is absolutely ridiculous!
0 stars for the hotel and 0 stars for Hotel.com.
It will be the first and last time I ever use Hotel.com

We found our room and bathroom very clean.
We also found the manager very helpful.

One of the worst hotels I have stayed. We are almost completely sure that a little bag with our iPhone original cables was taken from the room. The reception smelled, the carpets were dingy. They put us in a room that we had to climb the stairs with large bags because the lift went only to the second floor. Moreover, the breakfast was very poor. I don’t recommend it at all!
