Helpful staff. Room has everything needed for a overnight stay perfect to morning flight to next destination. 10 minute walk from airport uphill last bit. Had nice view of airport and surrounding hillside. Grocery store and awesome pizza within walking distance.

The walk up to the hotel from the back road was a hike and with our luggage rolling up in the heat it was a hard hour. They had a gate in the front from the airport but unsure why they didn’t have it open for people to walk up.

Smelly and uncomfortable
We are not a fan of this hotel. It is close to the airport but so are many other hotels which are more comfortable. The hotel smelled bad - thank God we revived a flower necklace from the airport because we were nose blind after awhile. The bed was a brick with a thin sheet and two pillows. They were sold out so we couldn’t get anymore pillows. The elevator doesn’t go all the way to the lobby so you have to take your luggage up some stairs to reach the elevator. The plugs all have some restriction around them so you have to buy an extension to make it work (the regular adapter doesn’t fit in it).

A Bad Experience.
We stayed one night at the Tahiti Airport Hotel in March 2025.
While the hotel is close to the airport, walking to the hotel from the airport is difficult and the access driveway is very steep, winding and dangerous.
People arrive at all hours of the night, often between midnight and dawn. The noise will be heard in your room.
The toilet in our room was running all night.
We arrived at a little after mid-day and asked if we could check-in as, like many others, we were leaving at 5.30 am the next day.
We were told that we could not check in before 2 pm unless we paid an additional $100.
There were plenty of vacant rooms available and this was just plain greedy.
We opted for waiting in our vehicle, which was due to be picked up after we had checked in and there was a hose lying in front of the vehicle parking place which I used to wash some bugs off the windscreen.
This caused the receptionist to have a fit of rage and she was very abusive - certainly the rudest person I’ve ever encountered at any hotel in 40 years of frequent travel.
Her name is Timre, and she is a large person with a prominent mole on her left cheek.
Avoid having anything to do with this person - in fact you would be well advised to avoid this hotel altogether.
We booked a nice apartment closer to town for half the cost with a free pick-up at midnight the week before with AirBnB.
I definitely do not recommend this hotel.

The location was very close to the airport but that was all it had going for it. The parking lot is crazy steep. The room was steaming hot when we arrived. The AC eventually cooled it down but not before we were trying to sleep in the heat. Breakfast was only 2 kinds of cereal and some toast. Recommend going a little farther from the airport
