A good hotel with Western amenities
Westin amenities are available, so you can use the Westin pool and beach and hire towels if you give us your room number.
Near the hotel is a supermarket (cost.U.less) where food and other items can be procured. The hotel is also equipped with a kitchen so you can eat in your room using food sourced from the supermarket. (Cayman's high prices save money.)
Blackbeard's Cayman Falls is also nearby, so you can source alcohol and water.
The shop is mostly closed on Sundays, so be careful.
Meals at Sunshine Grill are another option as they are delicious.
Activities include Captain Marvins Watersports near the hotel, so tours to Stingray city are easy to reach. Of course, Red Sail Westin might work.
A free shuttle bus will take you to the Cayman Turtle Center, so if you don't have a rental car, take a shuttle bus. (9:30 from the hotel, 11:30, 14:30, 15:30 from the cayman turtle center. check with front desk to see if shuttle bus is running).

Our second time here. Mixed review. Prepare if you choose Sunshine Suites.
However, there are preparations to consider & the staff is not overly helpful. To prepare (we did this both times here), I would *suggest* the following: bring a bar of soap from home for the shower. We have used the same, tiny bar of hand soap which was never replaced even after 5 days. Bring a small dehumidifier: doors go directly outside but the ceiling fan + AC just don’t remove the moisture. It’s an older property which hasn’t been updated in 30 years. Bring a drying rack: there is no balcony, outdoor seating, etc to dry bathing suits & swim shirts. Bring your own hangers. You get 4-5. Only 1 side of the bed has a nightstand, so the other person must prepare for charging their devices at night by bringing a power strip of some kind. They’ll end up setting devices on the floor, on the AC unit (yuck) or the windowsill (icky). Bring earplugs if you are bothered by roosters crowing at 6 am until 10-11 am every day. Not hating, just saying. It’s the culture and that’s fine, but I thought you should know to prepare.
We always tip the cleaning people at least $5-7 dollars per day, in cash, on the bed. The last time, they replenished 2 16-oz water bottles each day, which was lovely & unexpected. Not so this time. Today, we didn’t even receive clean hand towels: just 3 washcloths hanging where the hand towels had been. When I called the front desk, they said we could stop down & pick some up. My wife & I didn’t come here to do someone’s job; we both already have jobs. Just be prepared for what you get. There are LOTS of rentals on the island, near the beach. We will consider other places next time & may or may not return.

Upon check out, I was comped the resort fee. I think in view of the experience, my room charge should have been comped also.
I have stayed at other hotels on the island over the past 25+ years and have never had such a bad experience.

Great value accommodation
The bed is comfy, and the shower is ok (can go hot and cold), air con is good but noisy but the staff are so nice, especially in the Sunshine grill. Breakfast is really good which we had six out of our seven days there. The good thing about this accommodation is, you can get use of the Westin (across the road) facilities and beach area, which we did! Amazing place, and so central. We will visit again.
