Stay at the Hotel Gran Marquise de Fortaleza

The Hotel Gran Marquise de Fortaleza is an excellent choice for couples, the friendliness of its staff, its incredible views from the Terrace towards the whole bay, its spacious and comfortable rooms, the cleanliness, the quality of its amenities and above all the excellent care we receive prompt me to recommend it absolutely.

Gran Marquise: expensive snake and no delivery

I booked a Superior apartment and a Superior Suite. Right on the first day I had to change my room, because there was a renovation upstairs and the noise prevented me from working. Already in the room that should have a better pattern, the frigobar made a lot of noise and needed to be turned off at night. In addition, the mattress was extremely tough and needed to be changed.
As if not enough, the flexibility of the reception staff was zero, as a late checkout was requested and denied, even if there was availability.
Judging by the quality of toilet paper (simple sheet in a hotel that says 5 stars), you should be saving up to “good day.”
A disaster where I no longer intend to return and hope that this assessment will help other innocent people to look for better and cheaper alternatives.

The hotel has always been wonderful and always surprise me every year I am there.
Service, services, room, comfort, structure, location, the best Asian restaurant I have ever been to.

Considered the higher end hotel for the city, but that doesn’t make it a 5 star hotel. The staff are very nice and friendly. The rooms are old and wet. The roof top was redone and is the best part of the hotel. But the drinks in the rooftop are just awful! Stick to a beer or a caipirinha. The daily breakfast was amazing and worth the stay! Just wish they’d fix the rooms and bathrooms.
