Out of time. Perfect welcome.

I put a 5/5 for two reasons: we were greeted by an extremely pleasant and professional man. Thank you!!!
The place is really timeless, due to its architecture. Think of the quiescent balls. The parquet floor creaks

Charming boutique hotel!

A charming hotel very well located in La Paz. I loved my stay there. The staff was super friendly, the room very clean, spacious and breakfast included!
Go for it without hesitation. I would definitely return to this hotel.
Thanks again for everything :) .

Nice hotel, but they changed our booking without notice to a smaller room

This is a nice hotel. It is not in the center of the main tourist area but still very accessible to the sites. The issue we experienced was we booked the suite (which the hotel has only one) and when we arrived we were told at check in that someone else booked the suite and was checking in later that day and they would receive the suite. We stayed three days, the other guests stayed one. They would not allow us to switch rooms after the first guests left.
They did change the price of the room to reflect the smaller room, but they should have notified us prior to our arrival so we could make a decision whether to stay or go to another hotel.

Fantastic location, fantastic hotel, fantastic staff

A beautiful place in the heart of La Paz. Not direct in the tourist area but close enough to get there in 5 minutes on foot. Also, the bus station is within walking distance. The room was amazing. Spacious, boutiques, big. This old monastery was beautifully renovated and transformed into one of the most beautiful boutique hotels. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and the room you will have it stunning. Next time we come to La Paz we will stay there again.

Good location, but not in the main tourist area

Our taxi pulled up alongside shuttered doors at 6am in the deserted street.
Suddenly the doors swung open, and without a word a man appeared, grabbed our two suitcases in each hand and proceeded upstairs to the reception. 5 minutes later we were getting comfortable in our room on the third floor. The wonderful service continued during out 4 day stay. When we complained about the altitude the same man offered us oxygen which he allowed us to take to our room. Our bus to Copacabana was leaving at 6.30am, so he offered us a packed breakfast for the road.
Our room was quite large with a big wardrobe, a fridge and 2 double beds. We were situated on the third floor. The hotel has no elevator and I found the stairs difficult, although the oxygen certainly helped.
The location is not in the main tourist area, but if you want to experience authentic Bolivia, it's all happening just around the corner, a few minutes walk. Alternatively, it's 10-15 minutes walk to Sagarnaga Street, which is the main tourist area where you will find lots of hotels, hostels, cafes, restos, handcraft shops and travel agents.
